I've recently become a big fan of Marie Emily and the simple (looking) clothing she creates for herself. This set is filled with her classic creations.
I know that with sewing-it is easier said than done-and she's got a knack for creating beautiful, everyday wearables.

Probably like a lot of you out there, I have a "thing" for abandoned houses. I am a pretty big sissy, so I've only photographed a few; here, here, and here but I am always wanting to do more.
It's interesting to think about the American Dream of home ownership; what that meant, what it means now and how it is changing. At the current time it feels like an unattainable goal for me. But what a strange thing to have a generation of abandoned homes just hanging out around us...

I'm thinking that I need to just order some fabric from here, go take a class here and make myself something already.

Isn't it funny that you can look at old family photos and see yourself in relatives you never even got the chance to meet?
I've been gazing at these today and wondering what their lives were like.
Also wondering how we'd have gotten along.

I think one of the most awesome things you can do in Paris is floats toy boats at the Jardin du Luxembourg.
How fun, right?
Amazingly beautiful vintage toy boats with real sails are available for rent there and I can only imagine how many joyous afternoons have been spent in that very spot.
