I was watching Breakfast at Tiffany's the other day and found lots of little inspirational bits, so I thought I'd share them here.
1. Write more hand written notes (a small present is good, too)
2. Invest in a solid pump (and cute ankle watch)
3. Use a typewriter more often
4. Even a sweatshirt and jeans can be worn with grace
5. hot dogs will never be out of fashion
6. black shirt, sunglasses, big hair
7. A bright coat is great!
8. The five and dime used to be WAY cooler
9. A girl could always use a goldfish
10. a half bathtub looks better as a planter than as a couch
11. pink fluffy cake always looks fancy
12. Pigtails done the right way can be chic
Ah...I love tihs film.
Love the stills....and the observations! So much fun!!
I was in NYC last week and took a couple of pics that I think, judging by this post, you might like. Just posted them this morning. :)

Great post! Love the handwritten note, especially the way the G is written.

I love it too - no matter how cliche or popular it is at any given moment - it's a classic! This is by far the best post I've seen on it :)love the screenshots.

I love your tips and completely agree. I too love this movie. We've watched it many times. Last week I went to the library and checked out the book. It's a short novella. I read it while it was raining and knit a scarf with it perched on my lap. I'm glad I did.

I dressed up as Holly Golightly for Halloween... it was a lot of fun and a lot of people guessed who I was...

Lovely post!! This is one of my favourite films, I can watch it over and over again and never grow tired of it. I've never noticed the pink fluffy cake, but now I know exactly how my next birthday cake is going to look like - it's just perfect =)

I'm looking at these scenes and then the movies from the cinema nowadays. They're not made as stylish and with good taste like this one for example, they put too much accent on fashion if you ask me

ha ha. I'm not sure about what the other participants are thinking but you actually do have some valid points there. For an instance, I totally agree with what you're saying in the third paragraph. It's pleasant to actually see good contributors in this field.
