It is one of my very favorite photos. The light is gorgeous, the kittie is adorable without being too "Cute" and the belly is not obvious.
I'm going to be honest, I am one of those people that never really understood "bump photos". I mean, I like seeing Moms do fun self portraits every week and watching them grow but the full on end of pregnancy photo sessions always seemed, well just weird to me.
I think that with portrait photography in general there is just a very high level of schlocky shots- so throw in a belly + some sexy and to me you've got a train wreck. Oh boy-that probably sounds very harsh...
Of course, being pregnant and being a photographer has got me thinking about the possibility of "bump photos". What can make a good one? What can make a bad one? Hm...
I really, really adore the style of the photo above. I don't exactly love being in front of cameras but I do think it would be nice to show baby t what I looked like during this time.
What do you think about "bump photos"? Did you or are you getting them done? What makes a good one?
