Remember how yesterday how I said I had a bunch of "Portland" post lined up...well here's the first of those.
If you read other Portland blogs, you have probably heard of our Ace Hotel.
Occupying the space of the old Clyde Hotel (think place where Drugstore Cowboy was filmed), the Ace is a beautiful mix of modern, recycled, classy and hipster Portland style. Gorgeous woods and tile work make you feel like you are walking into another era but murals painted by modern artists remind you that you're not.
To me, the Ace is a perfect blend of old and new, high and low. Sleep in locally produced Pendleton blankets, listen to records on your rooms' player and run down stairs for some delicious take out from Clyde Common and you'll be satisfied.
Sometimes I have an aversion to overly hip places-but the Ace actually feels very homey and has got all the details just right.
You can find out lots more about the hotel at their website here.

Another exciting thing about the Ace is their gorgeous event space, The Cleaners. The Cleaners has gorgeous, gigantic windows and restored fir floors making it the perfect backdrop for events. And one exciting piece of news is that I'm helping to organize a hand made holiday sale there in November! More details on that later...can't wait to share.

Today is the last day to enter my mega giveaway over at Poppy and Leo. And I just finished my last clearance shop update. I relisted a bunch of my best sellers that had previously sold out (like the apricot blossoms, thistles, pincushions, and spools prints). Remember-shop closes on May 9th and then I'll reopen sometime in June.
Thanks, everyone!
