My Mother is a collector.
Her house is full of unconventional treasures and one of my favorites things to do is to go through her collections, examining each item-trying to figure out the oldest, the weirdest, the cutest, the ugliest, etc.
One of the ways she corals these items is by placing them in big glass jars. She has a jar full of eggs, pincushions, bridesmaid toppers, bride and groom toppers, shaving brushes and many more.
I think that this jar of tiny tea sets may be my favorite. Some are very old and fragile, some are Japanese, some have been very much loved over the years-others not so much.
I wonder how many past tea parties this jar holds.
