Yesterday I watched the film, Bright Star.
Have you seen it?
I really don't even know where to begin-it is visually stunning and the story is heart breaking.
Jane Campion is an exceptional director and I cannot wait to watch all of her other films.
The film made me want to do things: it made me want to dig out my embroidery threads and have a go at stitching, it made me want to find an apple orchard to hand around in, it made me want to read poetry again for the first time in a long time and mostly-it made me want to make films.
Yes, I seriously dreamt all last night about going back to school to study film.
Sure, that's a bit of a crazy dream...but I don't know. Who knows? Wasn't Julia Child in her 30's when she learned how to cook?
Well, at least I can dream. I've got some posts planned for over here that were inspired by the film. Stay tuned...
