Exeter is one of those little towns still surrounded by farmland, citrus groves, and rocky hills. In Exeter, time stands still. I hope it stays this way.
To me, it is the place where my Mom and her family lived when she was a girl. It is also the place where James grew up and his family still is. It's a tiny town with a few good Mexican restaurants, plenty of orange trees and not much going on. The downtown consists of a few blocks of locally owned cafes and boutiques. Every now and again you'll find a little chapel or an antique shop. Every body seems to know every body and the generations just kind of blur.
To me, Exeter is the ultimate Californian small town.
