Happy Friday!

Well, I hoped to have my latest roll of film developed to share with you here, but this week got a little crazy. I took a spill and had to get stitches...kinda changed my schedule a bit. The baby is ok, I'm just a little sore...so I hope you don't mind these shots pulled from my archives :)

the sensation of my skin being sewed together (and surprise at how getting stitches didn't hurt)

the baby's movements turn from jabs and kicks to waves of movement as my skin stretches to accommodate his growth

(and in case you missed it in the last post...both my etsy shop and bigcartel shops are open from now until August 15. I will then shut them down for maternity leave. This morning I had the pleasure of working on a little photo shoot with the lovely folks from Paloma's Nest. They are preparing to open their flagship boutique next week here in Austin. I'll reveal a little sneak peek of the boutique along with a q&a with creator Caroline Colom Vasquez on one of my favorite blogs next week. I'll keep you posted on it! In the meantime, I'd thought I'd share these outtakes with you. 

Today I am feeling ridiculously inspired-mainly from the boutique visit. I am so impressed with the dedication, craftmansship and heart Caroline and her team put into their work. You can read more about their story here. To know that a business woman can take off and succceed within months of a having a child is pretty much the best story I could hear right about now. People in this hand made world just amaze me.

I am very excited for this weekend...we're going on a road trip! Yes, we're finally headed to San Antonio. Thanks to all of you readers out there who gave us tips on where to go when we're there. You guys are the best.

Another thing that happens this weekend is that I will be 29 years old! Wow, I cannot believe I'm even typing that. When other people say they are 29, it does not sound old to me-but when I imagine that as my age...wow, how time does fly!

Well, these past several months I have dropped the ball on my "five senses friday" routine. Being pregnant has affected my routines a little more than I could have imagined, but after years of blogging "five senses friday" I couldn't just let it go...so it's back finally!

Olive Oil Loaf cake covered with fresh, local strawberries (I added about 2 teaspoons of lemon juice to that recipe and decreased the sugar by a quarter cup)

slight sunburn on my sandaled feet
