Last week we hiked with friends into the woods. We followed a creek until we came to a glorious little waterfall.
Along the way I found some salmon berries. I felt like I was in a fairytale. I grew up around farms, where berries grew in rows. I love finding food in the wild.
This shot of wild strawberries really looks wonderful.

Lovely photo, so simple and pure. Can't wait to pick our Oregon Blackberries next month. Just have to hold back from making those cobblers, yikes!

I ate some of those same berries the other day- big fan of foraging---I just picked some blackberries from the yard of an abandoned house next to mine. Not quite foraging....
