Some one is going around on the internet, and using my name and email address to leave strange and sometimes mean blog comments. This is frustrating to me-some of you have emailed me asking why I left such a comment-and I want to assure that I did not. I am in the process of changing my contact info and blog name, so yeah...totally sucks. I am sorry if you are the recipient of any of these comments. I'll send out an update once I figure out what's going on. And if you are reading this-whatever person you are doing this-please stop.

perhaps the receivers of the not-so nice comments can track down the IP address of the not-so nice fella/gal?

i hate when bad internet things happen to my friend Abby! I always forget, when I'm reading your blog, and all the other lovely ones out there, and looking at lovely pictures that the internet can be a shitty place.
So, to the person doing this: grow some balls and use your name. it's the internet, you're already pretty anonymous, stupid. or you could just get a life, and not say anything at all because, really, what do you care?

What a weird thing to do, using someone else's name. And the awful thing is it might well be someone you know. I do worry about some of the really young people who put ALL their details on Facebook and similar sites. There are some seriously freaky people out there, and girls especially need to be careful what's put in the public arena. Hope you get this sorted out. Best wishes Valerie

don't worry - lots of people still have faith in humanity - don't let something like this get you down - it happens - and i for one, know you would never do something like that. few people would :)

gosh abby, i feel just sick. so sorry you are going through such a frustrating and hurtful time. if it's any consolation, those of us that "know" you would never believe a single unkind word would come from you.
